Mitte and Holy DomeZilla
June 2, 2008
Today I took the train to Mitte. It is a new hip part of the city with small fashion boutiques, galleries, and cafes. I was going for gallery hopping and to find a new pair of kicks for the my old dogs. They have been a barkin’ on some of these long day treks. Unfortunately the small galleries in Mitte were closed up but I did do a little bit of shopping. I finally found a new pair of vans. They are comfortable, leather, and they slip on. I also found a shirt with a lion on it. Then as I was moving onward I found the Berliner Dome. I have included some pictures of this amazing church. The last picture is one from Mitte. The tower on the left is an old t.v. tower that you can now go up to the glass ball and see Berlin. I just went to the top of the church instead, the view was quite nice. It was a fine day of travel and discovery. Tomorrow is a studio day. So I will post some pictures of my giraffe and cloud making machine parts I scored at the flea market.
Tyler-Your pictures are amazing. I love all the stories and the history there seems to just blow you away. Glad you picked up some new tires. Your old vans were looking pretty rough. So who did you play frisbie with? Just join in on a game in progress? Hopefully some new artist will get there soon, so you will have more people to hang with. One week from today is when we go see James Taylor. I am really looking forward to seeing him at Starlight. Keep updating the blog. I sure am enjoying it. I’ve been printing it off and taking it to Grandma & Grandpa. They look forward to seeing it evertime. Better go,need to do some cleaning for company coming.
I love you, stay safe, Mom 🙂
